Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. Her birth date was 11th November, 1966. Alison Doody first made a movie debut as an actress and Bond model on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody began modeling after she was approached. It turned out to be a profitable career. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting career. When she came to the director's notice for the role in a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role for a small part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was named as one of the 12 most promising new Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Only 18 years old at the time she acted in the role Doody was, and still is the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actress in a 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading part in the film Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen and her girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She had been chosen as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. Doody's return to the big screen took place in 2003. Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. The year 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. The year 2011 saw her debut on the second season in the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). She was given the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on 21 November 2018.
